Kevin Cloud (facilitator) came out of his Momma singing and has never stopped. Following a quest through western pop, rock, blues, and ‘art’ music, and a degree in ‘Music Theory and Composition’, he was seduced into the worlds of traditional Oriental music and dance in 1994, and studied intensively with tradition-bearers including Ali Akbar Khan, Omar Mokhtori, Darioush Sami, Slavko Silic, Suleyman Feldthouse, and Sinan Erdemsel. Son of Earth-Scientist and Cosmologist Preston Cloud, he has concluded after study that the Universe is composed of musical resonance. Following his guru’s retirement in 2006, he has operated as pathfinder for the Silk Road Caravan troupe for over 300 performances, and has produced the annual ‘World Out West Music and Dance Festival’ in Oakland since 2011″
