Explore your own stories and personal mythology through writing, flamenco, dance, rhythm, and music in this fun one-day Saturday flamenco dance intensive in the beautiful big Berkley Rose Labyrinth with resounding wood floors! Facilitated by flamenco dancer and Creativity Coach, Holly Shaw and musical guest, Esteban Bello, on flamenco guitar and cante, this workshop will be pure laboratory (meaning the emphasis is on trying new things and not on flamenco technique) so don’t worry about your level of flamenco experience. All you need is the desire! Don’t miss this rich experience to shine the light into the dark corners of your stories and deepen your personal relationship with flamenco.

Workshop admission: $65 in advance / $75 at the door

Bio: Holly Shaw is a San Francisco Bay Area professional flamenco dancer, choreographer, and creativity coach. Shaw danced as a soloist with the internationally renowned company, Caminos Flamencos for several years, performed with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, was commissioned by the West Wave Dance Festival for her piece, The Outlaw, and has produced several shows with her non-profit the Eve’s Elixir project, including the most recent LAUNCH! Thriving Artists Performance Salon series. While principally a flamenco dancer she has also studied contemporary modern dance, as well as other ethnic dances, and those techniques and sensibilities tend to weave themselves into her work as choreographer. She currently coaches artists of all types, teaches dance composition workshops, and performs regularly around the Bay Area. More info: www.hollyshaw.net
